More about Osteogenesis Imperfecta and Goody Bags -Yeah!!!

So, you can see some of the images below of what this horrible disease does to the bones.  The curved bones, normally in the arms and legs require surgery.  The curved piece is cut out and replaced with a rod.  As the children grow, they require multiple surgeries.  I tell you, they are troopers!!  Surgery, casts, and therapy are a way of life and it does not slow them down a bit.  It makes any ache or pain that I have endured seem very minimal.  The Goody Bags were a hit, especially the M&M's!!  When we arrived, I thought the small boy in blue was about 18 months old.  He is actually over 4 years old.  Lack of growth is a result of the disease.  Warms my heart to know that they are in good hands.  Every three months one of these kids will need a surgery....we will continue to help raise funds for their much needed surgery and therapy needs!! More pictures on my previous post!
